Rain Bucket Privacy Policy

The simulation
Rain Bucket calculates rain and simulated water flow on your device. The current version does not require an account and does not include an advertising network or a Mozon analytics SDK. We do not upload the simulation's water-depth field to a Mozon server.
Optional location
When you tap the location arrow, Rain Bucket asks iOS for your current location to centre the map. You can decline permission and move the map or search instead. The app does not use a continuous background location watcher.
The current code uses your coordinates on the device to choose the map view. Loading that view requests map and terrain tiles from service providers. Those requests identify the geographic areas being viewed, which may include the area around your current location. We therefore do not promise that all location-related information stays on your device. Change location access in iPhone Settings whenever you wish.
Place and address search
When you submit a search, your search text is sent directly to Mapbox's Geocoding API to return matching places. Rain Bucket does not create its own server-side search-history database. Avoid entering sensitive personal information in the search box.
Map and terrain services
The reviewed release uses Mapbox satellite imagery, AWS-hosted public terrain tiles, and OpenFreeMap map resources. These providers receive ordinary network-request information, including the requested resource, IP address, and available request headers. They may retain service, security, or error logs under their own policies. Map rendering uses MapLibre; Rain Bucket does not integrate the Mapbox mobile SDK's location telemetry.
Provider information:
The policies of these providers govern their own processing and retention. We do not control their retention periods. Online services may process requests in countries outside your own.
Local storage
Rain Bucket may cache terrain tiles on your device where the platform permits, reducing repeated downloads. Cached tile addresses identify terrain areas previously loaded. The active simulation is held in app memory; returning from a short interruption can resume it, but it is not a permanent saved project. Removing the app removes its local app data; offloading an app may retain data according to iOS settings.
Support messages
If you email info@mozonapp.com, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to respond and investigate the reported issue. Please send only what is needed. We retain support correspondence only as needed to respond, resolve the issue, and meet applicable legal obligations. Contact us to request deletion or ask about retention of your support correspondence.
Your choices
You can use the app without allowing GPS location access. You can avoid submitting address searches and explore by moving the map. You can contact us with privacy questions or requests concerning information you have provided to us. Your rights may depend on where you live. Requests concerning providers' own records may also need to be directed to those providers.
Changes
We will update this policy if Rain Bucket's features or data practices change. The public policy will show its effective date.
